Of Sound Mind: Sensing, Blindness, Berlin is a documentary/installation project that is produced as a partial requirement for the completion of my dissertation “From ‘Confused’ to ‘Sensible’ Ideas: the appreciation of aesthetics as the science of sensible cognition in the context of the blind’s perceptual experience and its re-presentation in a documentary” at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. It explores the nature and limitations of ‘seeing’, ‘blindness’ and ‘image’ by investigating the aesthetic experiences in the symbiotic relations shared between audio (to hear/listen), video (to see), seeing, blindness and the documentary format.
