dazwischen (in-between) explores the topic of multifaceted social identities in a largely homogenous country like Germany. It features four Berliners who share their stories, memories, fears, dreams, and hopes about finding a balance between their social, cultural and religious identities in relations to Islam and German with themselves. How does it feel to be the minorities within the already minority Muslim society in Berlin and within the majority ethnic white German in Germany? dazwischen is my final project for an MFA in Media Art & Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
